This 1968 Miller-Meteor Cadillac ambulance was originally purchased on June 13, 1968 by the
Cooper Funeral Home of Maxwell, Iowa. Body # 68837 designates the vehicle order number (837) among Miller-Meteor's
1968 model year production run. It is Grecian White with blue upholstery. I have the original owner's manual and
Protect-O-Plate. It is in near-new, original condition, but for a complete exterior strip and repaint.
Powered by a 375 horsepower, 472 cubic-inch V-8 engine on a 156" wheelbase, factory options include dual air
conditioning, power steering, power brakes, and an AM/FM radio. Overall length: 20'10". Curb weight: 6010 pounds.
Miller-Meteor named their limousine-style coaches the "Classic"
series. A limousine-style coach has a large window on each side, like a station wagon. The Miller-Meteor
"Classic" is familiar as Jo-Han's 1/25 scale 1966 "Fire Rescue Ambulance" plastic model kit.
Four "Ful-Vu" warning lights and a Federal Model 28 siren are used to clear traffic.
The 1968 shares quarters with my 1977 Miller-Meteor "Lifeliner" ambulance.
